Indian-Origin Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Killing Father in New Jersey

An Indian-origin man, Vishal Shah, 22, has been convicted to 25 years of imprisonment for fatally shooting his father.
Vishal Shah, New Jersey was convicted past week in New Brunswick by Supreme Court Judge Collen Flynn for intense killing of his 53-year-old father Pradipkumar Shah, Middlesex County prosecutor Andrew Carey said in a statement.
The convict is termed with 25 year imprisonment in New Jersey is subject to the 'No Early Release Act', which means Shah will have to suffice 85 percent of the term before he could be released on Parole. He had pleaded guilty to one count of intense manslaughter in March 2018.
A probe by Detective Amy Noble of the Sayreville Police Department and Detective David Abromaitis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office found that Shah shot-to-death his male parent in their residence at New Jersey's Sayreville town in June 2016 before 9:45 a.m. and hid the weapon, a. 25 caliber handgun. His father later died in a local infirmary.
