
The White House says, the United States president-elect Donald Trump was aware of the Russian involvement in the US presidential elections held on November 8. It alleged that, Russia help Trump to won the election against his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
The White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, "There's ample of evidences that were known long before the election and, in most cases, long before October about the Trump campaign and Russia everything from the Republican nominee himself calling on Russia to hack his opponent.
While responding a question, Mr Earnest said, "It might be an indication that he was obviously aware and concluded, based on whatever facts or sources he had available to him, that Russia was involved, and their involvement was having a negative impact on his opponent's campaign. That's why he was encouraging them to keep doing it."
The White House Secretary said that, the Republican candidate refer the Russian president as a strong leader. The Republican pick also chose a campaign head, that lucrative, extensive and personal financial ties to the Kremlin."
"Now, I know there's a lot of reporting that there may be some disagreement in the intelligence community about whether or not that was the intent. That's a question that they should ask and a question that they may attempt to answer, but there certainly was no doubt about the effect," he said.
"And, again, it didn't require a security clearance or a consensus, high-confidence intelligence assessment to understand. In spite of all that, that didn't change the way in which this information was reported on, either," the White House Secretary added.
