
India is sending remains of soldiers and artefacts of a US Air Force B-24 bomber, that had crashed in north east (now Arunachal Pradesh) India during the second World War to the United States for the families of the soldiers. The country given a full honors ceremony at New Delhi's airport before being sent to the United States. The process was overseeing by the US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter.
A statement issued jointly by both India and the US, said that, "The Indian government agreed to support America's commitment to bringing its fallen personnel home and providing their families the fullest possible accounting."

Captain Gregorylynch, who led the repatriation team, said that, "It has a incredible significance, for me, to be part of this means a lot to me.Hope we can turn this into identification. The remains will go to our headquarter where we are going to do scientific analysis so that we can make identification of the body.. Indian government was really supportive. They really wanted to be successful."
On the other hand, previous UPA government denies the recovery of remains, but Narendra Modi government agreed to America's request and send back the remains of soldier to the US.
